Sue is a seasoned marathon runner and in 2005 she ran the Edinburgh Marathon and last year she got a place to run in the London Marathon. On both of these occasions Sue raised much needed funds for the Woodland Trust. But this year Sue plans to surpass her previous successes by running the London Marathon on 23rd April and Edinburgh on 31st May and is not only planning to beat her previous times, but to run both in less than 4 hours.
Sue loves woodland and says “I plan all my runs to go through as many bluebell woods as I can; the scent is inspirational – probably literally as I inhale the air with its hint of summer warmth mixed with spring freshness and infused with the liquid sweetness of the bluebells and I find I need no other energy to carry me through those runs. I hope that not only will my efforts raise money for the Trust, but also remind people of the woods and how valuable they are in many different ways. And maybe get a few more people out running especially through the woods!”
