Woodland Creation

In the UK we have less woodland to escape to than almost any other European country. Trees cover just 12 per cent of the UK's landscape compared to a European average of 46 per cent.

The Woodland Trust is therefore creating significant new areas of woodland for the benefit of the landscape, wildlife and the millions of people who appreciate and enjoy the natural beauty of woodland. 

Legacies have been instrumental in these projects, and two examples are:
