Andy and Jo got married on 6th June last year on Jersey, where Jo comes from.
"Being in our forties, we both had established homes of our own and so had considerably less need for conventional wedding gifts than younger couples might have.
As a result we were keen to give our friends and family the option of choosing alternatives to material gifts.
"We were pleasantly surprised at the sums that were given and we were delighted to find that we could dedicate a half acre in the woods at Swarthmoor Hall, near Ulverston in Cumbria.
"We are yet to visit the wood but look forward greatly to doing so throughout our married life."
