FAQ and Guidelines for Dedicate a Tree

Q Will I know which particular tree has been dedicated to me?

A No. In order to keep our woods as natural as possible, individual trees are not marked in any way. However, the map shows the area within the wood where your dedicated tree(s) can be found.

Q is there any charge for entry into the wood?

A No, access is free.

Q What age are the trees when dedicated?

A We offer dedications in both mature and newly planted woods. When newly planted, the age of the trees are generally between three and ten years old

Q How can I find out whether the wood is suitable for the less-abled to visit

A For information on woods available with access for the less-abled, please call FREEPHONE 0800 026 9650

Please note:

  • The Woodland Trust does not have any offices or members of staff at the woodland nor are there any amenities.
  • You are advised to take with you the Ordnance Survey map as quoted in your wood details as some of our woods can be difficult to locate.
  • Please wear suitable footwear and clothing when visiting the wood. W
e recommend that you take warm and waterproof clothing with you, plus stout shoes. Many Trust woods can be muddy too so a good pair of wellies is a useful addition!
  •
Many of our sites are quite large, so you might want to take a snack with you, and you should also make sure you have water - but please remember to take any litter home.
  • Always follow the Countryside Code -  take only photographs and leave only footprints.
