The Woodland Trust wants to double the native woodland in the UK for the benefit of wildlife and people. Our aim is to create at least 1000 hectares (nearly 2500 acres) each year.

We hope to achieve this through exciting tree planting projects.  

Planting a tree is a tangible, symbolic action that offers a simple and effective message of creating a better environment for present and future generations.

We currently have two exciting investment opportunities at Heartwood, near St Albans and Low Burnhall in County Durham.

At these sites, it will take just 12 years to turn bare land into flourishing native woodland, complete with a diverse range of wildlife and towering trees.
