Low Burnhall, County Durham

Help us plant 80,000 trees on the outskirts of Durham…and see amazing results from your investment

In 2008, the Woodland Trust bought 68 hectares (168 acres) of land just 2 miles south of Durham, known as Low Burnhall. Here, we want to plant 80,000 trees to create new woodland for everyone to enjoy.

We’re offering your business the chance to invest in this exciting project with opportunities including:

• An involvement in the naming and designing of an area of woodland and the option of tree planting days for staff or customers.
• A tree being planted every time a customer or client makes a purchase, creating an attractive selling point for your product.

A unique woodland

The site is currently arable and pasture land and includes a precious area of ancient woodland alongside the River Wear. By planting trees and linking existing woodland we have the chance to make a positive change to wildlife and people. With your help we can create an accessible and attractive area for thousands of people and local wildlife to use now and in the future.

We’re more than halfway towards our fundraising goal of £1.5m, but there’s still work to do. Your business’ partnership with us would help to:

• Plant tens of thousands of native trees
• Care for the existing ancient woodland
• Create a wildflower meadow alongside the A167
• Involve local people and school children in tree planting
• Improve access to the land and link with walking routes on neighbouring land.
