We need your help...

Help us create a fantastic new native woodland in the Usk Valley in Wales.  Coed Cadw - the Woodland Trust - has purchased at auction 72 acres of land at Cefn Ila in the beautiful Usk Valley.  Only a few miles from Wentwood Forest, the largest ancient woodland site in Wales, and already in our ownership, Cefn Ila is surrounded by precious ancient woodland yet just a mile from the pretty market town of Usk and its river.

Our plans

The Trust’s ownership of Cefn Ila gives us the opportunity for a well designed woodland creation project that would enhance the landscape while keeping open the superb views across the rolling Usk Valley countryside.   Currently Cefn Ila is improved pasture with a low wildlife value.  However, with several veteran trees and evidence of ancient woodland flora such as bluebells and red campion still remaining, it provides an unmissable opportunity to buffer ancient woodland in an area of high conservation value.

How you can help

Please help by sending a donation today, and help us to ensure our magnificent Welsh woodland heritage is conserved for future generations to enjoy.
