Visit Heartwood Forest

Heartwood Forest appeal

Planning to visit the Woodland Trust's Heartwood Forest wood site?

There are many things to see already at Heartwood Forest, so why not make a visit?

Ways to get there:

Train
Bus
Foot
Bike
Car

In as little as twelve years time we hope that 850 acres of this site will be transformed into native woodland.

Many walkers have already begun making use of the 170 acres (70 ha) of publically accessible land, which we made available after our purchase - something we're delighted about.

Be careful however, to follow the on-site signs and stick to the accessible areas only (marked on the map below). Please don't walk on land under crops, as this is still being farmed and has no public access. We will open up another 170 acres in the autumn.

Public access is now available on 170 acres of Heartwood - please download the map to see the areas that you can visit now.
