willow weaving, orienteering, teddy bears picnic, woodland arts and crafts, guided walks and so much more.

Discover Summer butterflies in Heartwood Forest

Sunday 15th July

An introduction to the butterflies of the forest, with help learning to ID different species.

Grassland butterflies including Skippers, Marbled White and Common Blue. An easy two mile walk, suitable for adults and children alike.

Meet at 10am in the new car park, accessed from the B651 just north of Sandridge Village.

Circular walk lasts 2.5 hours but is never far from the car park is anyone needs to leave early.

We will be out in the sun (hopefully) so bring drinks and suntan cream.
