Planting trees in our towns and cities could save us millions in healthcare costs and increase our house prices, says a new report.

Trees can also reduce ambient temperatures, flooding, asthma rates and attract wildlife to our cities.

The Urban Trees Report, released by the Trust, also reveals the worrying statistic that fewer than 10 per cent of people live within 500m of accessible woodland.
