Woodland projects

The Woodland Trust is involved in a number of woodland projects to help protect, restore, create and care for its woods.

Very often we work in partnership with others organisations in managing sites in order to achieve common goals,  particularly where we are aiming to achieve real results across a landscape scale.

For example, our estate encompasses extensive and often ecologically valuable and protected areas of open ground or we adjoin ecologically sensitive sites where we can provide habitat continuity for vulnerable species and ecosystems by extending and buffering them from threats.

Our partners may have access to technical expertise, knowledge and specialist equipment for work which we simply don’t do on a regular enough basis to justify building up a resource in-house.

The Woodland Trust is the UK's leading woodland conservation charity.
