Our diverse estate is cared for by a team of about 40 woodland officers all of whom work from a home office within or near their ‘patch’ of sites.
They have the challenging role of implementing our various management plans and policies on the ground, guided by our woodland management approach, and the stringent international requirements of the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), plus balancing all this with the wishes of the local community.
We have further in-house specialists and advisors whose services are consulted as required. These might be species experts, lawyers, archaeologists or arboriculturalists to name a few.
