Digwyddiadur - Coedydd Plas Power

 

Signs of Spring.
Weds 3rd April, drop in between 12pm - 3pm

This is the launch of a fun self led guided walk through Nant Mill and Plas Power woods. Come along between 12 and 3pm on the 3rd April where  Jane from the Woodland Trust will meet you at the start of the Trail.

If you can’t make it along on the 3rd April the Trail will be set up for 2 weeks so come along anytime until the 19th April. Suitable for families (Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult). We regret that sections of the trail are not wheelchair-accessible.

 

 

Clywedog trail walk
Sunday 19th May, starts at 10am

A led walk along the clywedon trail, with the opportunity to find out more about the history and wildlife of Nant Mill and Plas Power Wood

Sunday Stroll
Sunday 9th June Starts at 2pm for approx 1 ½ hours

A guided walk around Nant Mill and Plas Power Wood by the site manager.  An opportunity to find out more about the history of Plas Power, the wildlife and how we look after this valuable woodland.

Meet at Nant Mill Visitor Centre car park. The walk will start at 2pm. We regret that sections of the trail are not wheelchair-accessible. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

 

 

Historic Woodland Walk
Sunday 4th August, 2 - 4pm

This walk is being run by the Woodland Trust and Wrexham Council Come and join us to discover more about the history of Plas Power Wood.

Starting at Bersham Iron Works. Suitable for families (Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult). We regret that sections of the trail are not wheelchair-accessible.

 


Duck Race
Tuesday 6th August, from 1.30pm

Nant Mill Visitor Centre
Lots of Activities and the ever popular duck race run by Wrexham Council

Bryophyte Walk
Saturday 21st September, 2pm - 4pm

A chance to discover more about some of the plants found at Plas Power Wood in particular the mosses and liverworts. This walk is led Brian Burnett from the North Wales Non-Flowering Plant Group

Starting at Nant Mill Visitor Centre. The walk will start at 2pm. We regret that sections of the trail are not wheelchair-accessible. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

 


Woodland Woodcraft 
Sunday 22nd September, 10.30am – 3pm

This event will enable you to have a go at  wood working in a traditional way at Nant Mill and Plas Power Wood.
