About this wood

Set in the agricultural landscape of the Colne valley, Fordham Hall estate, near Colchester, Essex, covers approximately 200ha (505 acres) of gently sloping arable land which has been cultivated for centuries. The land which almost surrounds the village of Fordham is now the site of a major woodland creation scheme.
