About this wood

A thousand years ago, the ancient hunting forest of Wychwood reached Eynsham’s doorstep. Now, this west Oxfordshire village has its own wood, planted with the help of local people. Eynsham Wood is 5.5 hectares (13 acres) of new native woodland on the north side of the village and it was the Woodland Trust’s 200th ‘Woods on your Doorstep’ millennium project, funded by Homebase.
