About this wood

Muntjac deer, rabbits and badgers feature among the wildlife population in this ancient coppice woodland, which sits on the lip of a plateau. Historically part of the Whaddon chasehunting forest, College Wood was once divided into three coppices by ditch and bank and surrounded by common pasture.
