Occupying a flat, exposed site with fine views out to the Isle of Man, Scotland, Morcambe Bay and the Lake District, How Tun Wood is close to Barrow in Furness, Cumbria. The wood’s name, mentioned as ‘Hietun’ in the Domesday Book, was chosen by local people who planted the wood to mark the millennium.
