About this wood

Named after a stand of large Douglas Firs, this attractive wood is a few miles from Salisbury, Wiltshire and lies just within the New Forest National Park. Situated in mainly agricultural pasture, this undulating mainly broadleaf woodland is crossed by several small streams and ditches. Tinney’s Firs is beautiful all year round but especially so in spring when bluebells are in flower.
