About this wood

New trees were added to the hilly wood pasture of Felicity’s Wood in 1997 to restore the woodland cover while keeping the spectacular views over surrounding hills and other woods in the National Forest area. The 8.8-hectare (22 acre) hill, three miles south-west of Loughborough, slopes steeply down to Wood Brook. Its spring-fed waters are home to crayfish, lampreys and stone loach.
