About this wood

Birdsong, bluebells and beauty - Beckmickle Ing, on the banks of the River Kent, has it all. This is a well-loved ancient woodland site on the border of the Lake District National Park, as popular with visitors as with locals. A visit here can be combined with one of many walk routes in the area, including the Dalesway long distance path.
