About this wood

Unusually for the East Midlands, Everdon Stubbs is an ancient woodland made up of differing woodland communities. There are, in fact, two separate woods - Everdon Stubbs and Everdon Wood. Containing an unusual mix of common and sessile oak with lowland birch growing on top of the ridge, both woods also have sections of sweet chestnut and sycamore.
