About this wood

The Huddersfield Photographic and Antiquarian Society gifted the wood to the Trust on the 18th March 1988. Located in the urban fringe of Huddersfield, this small rectangular wood in the southern suburbs of Honley is accessed directly off the A6024 Woodhead Road. It forms an important part of the valley landscape on the side of the floodplain and is highly visible from the playing fields in the valley bottom and the A616 on the opposite side of the valley.

This site has been transferred into third party management with appropriate safeguards in place to ensure it remains protected. The site is no longer under our day-to-day management control and therefore we do not maintain a management plan for this site. There are also no dedications available on this site.
