About this wood

This 27.5 hectare (67.9) complex block of woodland lies within a well wooded part of the Surrey Weald just to the north of Gatwick. It is designated a Local Nature Reserve. Its irregular boundaries are defined by local roads to the west and by grazed fields to the east and south. The wood is well connected to other neighbouring habitats via mature hedgerows and a stream. The Trust has three other woodlands all within two miles: Rickett's Wood, Glover's Wood and Hammond Copse.
