About this wood

Binswood is a random mosaic of grassland and woodland that is literally enveloped in the past. Indeed the site is practically surrounded by historic boundary banks and hedges that provide intriguing pointers to its history. The common was once part of Wolmer Forest, a royal hunting forest, and had a close association with the medieval deer park of Worldham.
