The Old Park

Despite its name this is actually a young woodland on a grand scale, in an old park. Well laid-out with meadows, ponds, woodland belts and wide rides, the new design sympathetically links to the past by incorporating such features as fine individual feature trees and open space. The newly planted trees may be little more than 10 years old but this is already a great site to bring children.– lots of space to run around and, combined with the amenities provided at Thorndon Country Park, makes a great day out.
