About this wood

Boyden Wood is set in a quiet rural location 1 mile south east of the small village of Blackdown, in West Dorset. Sitting in a valley below the north western edge of Pilsdon Pen (the highest hill in Dorset), the wood is part of a mosaic of small woodlands, fields and hedges on Upper Cretaceous Greensand, which form part of the unspoilt rural landscape typical of the Blackdown Natural Area. The wood is also in the Dorset AONB.

This site has been transferred into third party management with appropriate safeguards in place to ensure it remains protected. The site is no longer under our day-to-day management control and therefore we do not maintain a management plan for this site. There are also no dedications available on this site.
