About this wood

Coed Geufron is located on the flood plain of the Afon Rheidol and a steep north-east facing slope on the eastern edge of Aberystwyth. The site was acquired as part of the Woods On Your Doorstep Initiative. It includes a variety of habitats including part of the larger Rheidol Shingles and Backwaters SSSI. The land use surrounding the site is varies; industrial land lies to the east, residential development to the south and sporting facilities to the west.
