About this wood

Location, Altitude and Aspect Huntly wood is situated in the Carse of Gowrie approximately 7.5km to the west of Dundee, and 0.5km to the north of the village of Longforgan. The wood lies between the altitudes of 43 and 52m above sea level, and faces generally in a northerly direction. Adjacent land use is mainly agricultural, consisting of arable fields to the north, east and west with the fields to the south currently under fruit, a common practice for this area. There is also a small horse paddock to the north.
