About this wood

Granner Wood is prominently located on a hill overlooking the village of Evenjobb. The wood is classified as an ancient woodland site, which was replanted with sessile oak and a mix of conifers in the 1950s. It is surrounded on all sides by improved pastureland, although there are also several sizeable ancient woodland sites in the area. Sessile oak occupies the lower slopes of the wood, while Douglas fir, noble fir and Japanese larch have been planted further upslope.
