About this wood

Newton Wood and Hollacombe Quarry lie in the Yealm Valley between Wembury and Newton Ferrers in South Devon. They are within the South Devon AONB, and have ASNW and County Wildlife Site designations. Because of this they have, since 2000 been included in a Woodland Grant Scheme Contract as a single management unit. They both provide good and regular public access, but generally for local residents only.
