About this wood

This long, thin strip of woodland sits on the steep, west-facing scarp slope of the Cotswolds. An important landscape feature, the wood is a popular walking venue with the local population, who visit daily. From the top of the slope you can enjoy views across a number of landmarks including the Severn estuary, Tyndale monument and Waterly Bottom.
