About this wood

Spring brings the promise of spectacular wood anemone and bluebell displays in Guestling Wood, a typical High Weald ancient woodland. The Woodland Trust owns around half of the sweet chestnut-dominated site. Guestling’s rich ground flora is being encouraged through a programme of coppicing, particularly in the northern part of the wood.
