  • We have more than 160,000 members and over 200,000 other supporters

  • We have planted over eight million native trees in the UK, more than any other conservation organisation

  • For each new member who joins, on average, we can care for another half an acre of woodland

  • Everyone can enjoy visiting more than 1,000 sites in our care, covering 20,000 hectares (50,000 acres) of land

Woodland Trust - Northern Ireland
  • The Trust cares for 52 woods in Northern Ireland, that’s 300 hectares (741 acres) of woodland.  These woods are located right throughout the Province

Woodland Trust - Scotland
  • The Trust owns 80 woods in Scotland covering 8500 hectares (20,995 acres)

  • Our sites stretch from Stranraer in the South to Sutherland in the North

  • The Trust's largest site is Glen Finglas estate covering over 4,000 hectares, in the heart of Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park

  • Glen Finglas is home to one of the largest collections of ancient trees in Scotland and is one of the best examples of upland wood pasture

  • We own and are restoring Portmoak Moss, one of the few surviving raised bogs in Central Scotland

  • Around 1 million visits are made to our woods in Scotland each year

  • Our first Scottish site was Balmacaan which was acquired in 1984

  • We are creating over 1200ha of new native woodland at Glen Devon in the Ochils.

Woodland Trust - Wales
  • The Woodland Trust cares for over 100 woods in Wales, with a total area of 1,580 hectares (3,900 acres)

  • The Trust adopted its Welsh language name in 2000: “Coed Cadw”. This is an old Welsh term, used in medieval laws to describe protected or preserved woodland
