DoubleTree by Hilton and Woodland Trust “Forest of Food, Fashion & Fun” is Festival Hit
More than 200,000 Central London visitors enjoyed some “tree-mendous” treats and entertainment during the Regent Street Festival on Sunday, September 26th.
DoubleTree by Hilton and the Woodland Trust proudly presented a “Forest of Food, Fashion & Fun” to celebrate the first weekend of autumn and encourage travellers to explore the UK in the months ahead from a naturally different perspective.
The fast-growing, upscale hotel brand in the UK and the country’s leading woodland conservancy charity created a magical forest enclosure, lushly landscaped with natural trees and foliage. It included:

• The DoubleTree by Hilton Family Tree Troupe – an ensemble of costumed "Tree Ambassadors", who entertained the public with their unique artistry, whimsical performance and natural beauty.
• Food stations serving delicious favourites from host hotel Courthouse DoubleTree by Hilton London-Regent Street and DoubleTree by Hilton’s legendary chocolate chip cookies.
• A stall showcasing DoubleTree by Hilton’s eight UK hotels either open or under development in London, Bristol, Cambridge, Milton Keynes, Lincoln, Chester, Dunblane and Aberdeen, as well as more than 230 additional hotels and resorts currently welcoming travellers around the world.
• A Tree Masquerade activity – To reinforce the Woodland Trust’s More Trees. More Good. Campaign, visitors took a ‘What Kind of Tree Would You Be?’ quiz and received one of five unique souvenir tree masks.

• A Fine Forest Fashion Show, where the Family Tree Troupe and Tree Masquerade participants took part in fanciful foliage makeovers to model on the forest green catwalk to win a variety of fun prizes.
In its 11th year, the annual Regent Street Festival took place from 12pm - 7pm on September 26. This year’s traffic-free event was dedicated to fashion and lifestyle, and the iconic ‘Mile of Style’ fashion catwalk featured top models wearing the latest collections from Regent Street’s brands.
From a legendary courthouse in London to an historic hydro-spa in the Scottish Castle Country, DoubleTree by Hilton and its upscale, full-service hotel collection is quickly making its mark on the landscape, since its UK debut in the spring of 2008.
DoubleTree by Hilton is renowned for its warm, caring and friendly service in more than 230 locations around the world, but they also honor a longstanding tradition of promoting community and environmental stewardship through their Teaching Kids to CARE social responsibility programme.
DoubleTree by Hilton is proud of its sponsorship and support of the Woodland Trust in the UK through such initiatives as Schools Woodland Discovery Weeks and helps the charity to maintain its 1,000 beautiful woods. Since 2002, DoubleTree by Hilton has joined forces around the world with some of the world's most respected nature organisations and has been a driving force in the planting of more than 300,000 trees and education of more than 5 million schoolchildren.
