Biomass Boiler Company helps plant 45,000 trees for The Queen’s Jubilee

To celebrate HM The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in 2012 Royal Warrant Holder Hoval Ltd is creaHoval and Woodland Trust launch partnershipting new native woodland in the UK.

The Newark based company has signed a three year deal to plant 45,000 trees as part of the Woodland Trust’s Jubilee Woods Project.

The Jubilee Woods project aims to create thousands of woods across the UK to commemorate The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and has HRH The Princess Royal as its patron.

Money to fund the tree planting will be donated every time Hoval sells one of its low emissions biomass boilers.

Penny Pulfrey, from the Woodland Trust, said: “I would like to thank Hoval for their support of the Jubilee Woods Project which is set to make a huge difference to people living across the whole of the UK.

“It seems very appropriate for a Royal Warrant Holder who supplies The Queen with boilers to be supporting this project.”

As well as supplying Buckingham Palace, Hoval has also supplied boilers to the Windsor Castle, Palace of Holyroodhouse, Tower of London, and Wembley Stadium.

Adrian Walker, managing director of Hoval, said: “We are delighted to be working with the Woodland Trust on this project. As a company we are committed to producing biomass boilers which are carbon neutral. Having worked closely with Buckingham Palace and other national institutions, we thought it was a great fit to support the Jubilee Woods Project.”

Hoval’s biomass boilers emit approximately 80% less carbon than a standard gas boiler. The company has developed this boiler in response to the Government’s Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI), which sees the government give cash back to businesses which drastically reduce their emissions. The RHI launches in September this year.
