Looking after your new trees

Spring has arrived, and it’s not just the flowers and insects that love this time of year – it’s also a time where the grass and weeds start to grow.

To give your new trees the very best chance of survival you need to  keep a weed free area around the base of each tree.

The best time to do this is before the end of May.

Getting people involved

Maybe you could ask the same group of people who helped to plant the trees to come back and see how they are getting and help you with the weeding.

Now the weather is warmer you could perhaps have a picnic together when all the hard work is done!

If you have any queries about the maintenance of your trees then please email email us and we will put you in touch with a volunteer who will be able to offer you some handy hints
