Firewood pack

Planting native trees for firewood is a good way for communities to grow a local, sustainable, source of fuel that will help keep the wood burners going!

Log burnerPlanting for wood fuel is also a rewarding, long-term community project that delivers real benefits for those involved. The resulting firewood is a product for people to share, whilst coppicing work and long-term maintenance is a good way to sustain interest in the trees over the years, helping to create and cement a strong sense of community pride.

Which size of pack to choose?

If you apply for the 105 tree pack, it can be planted as a large copse (covering about a quarter of an acre), or a double hedge of roughly 30m (planting in a zig-zag formation)

The 420 tree pack is ideal for planting as a small woodland on roughly an acre of land. Alternatively, you could create approximately 120m of hedging (roughly 150 strides).

If you are struggling for land, try planting the trees as small copses, hedges and individual trees across the shared spaces in your area. Trees here and there can make a big difference to how your neighbourhood looks and how people feel about it.

Species may change subject to demand.

Trees are supplied as saplings between 20 - 40cm in height.
