Tree packs for communities

Apply now for the chance to receive a free community tree planting pack to plant in November 2012 as part of our Jubilee Woods project.*

2012, the year of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee, is an ideal opportunity to plant trees to commemorate this, or any other, special occasion. Each pack will contain a royal oak sapling.

Individual royal oak saplings are now available to buy from the Woodland Trust's online shop.

Tree packs come in two sizes:

• 105 trees
  ideal for planting either in small groups of trees or as a hedge (approx 30m)
   
• 420 trees
  create a long hedge (approx 120m), or divide up and plant
  at different sites. If planted as a block of trees, there is
  sufficient for approximately one acre of land.

Trees supplied are young saplings about 20 - 40 cm high. 

 Then choose from four different themed mixes**:

Wildlife   Blackthorn, hawthorn, hazel, silver birch, rowan, common oak

Year-round colour   Hawthorn, hazel, silver birch, rowan, wild cherry, dogwood

Wood fuel Ash, silver birch, wild cherry, common oak, hornbeam

Wild harvest   Hazel, blackthorn, crab apple, elder, dog rose

*Your application will enter the community tree pack judging process and we cannot guarantee that all applications will be successful

Tree packs for schools

Apply now to receive a free schools tree planting pack for delivery in November 2012.

Copse Pack

The Copse Pack contains 60 native trees which are suitable for planting as a small wooded area or 'copse'. Your pack will be made up of: 20 of each - Birch, Rowan, Cherry and a royal oak sapling.

Hedgerow Pack

The hedgerow pack contains 60 plants of the following species and can be planted as a traditional hedgerow and provide an excellent habitat for wildlife: 12 of each - Hawthorn, Hazel, Holly, Dog rose, Dogwood and a royal oak sapling.

Note: If your project needs more trees, schools are also welcome to apply for a community pack.
