Fundraising resources

We’re a charity, so fundraising is vital to our work.  Help us raise funds to plant 6 millions trees.

There are hundreds of different ways you can raise money, whether it's organising a quiz or karaoke night, dressing in green for the day or banning your office buzz words, but we suggest you keep it simple and choose something you think your staff and customers will enjoy.

Don't forget to tell your employer about what you are doing as they can often match what you raise – doubling your money!

You could also look at what activities your customers may like to get involved in and get some local PR for you and the Jubilee Woods Project – let us know and we can help out.

Why not set up a Justgiving.com fundraising site making it easy for people to make a donation to your activity?  The website has loads of great ideas too – take a look.

What can I do in an hour?

You can achieve so much in just one hour

Whether you get sponsored by work colleagues or bosses or charge an admission fee for your fundraising day, all the money you raise will help create wildlife-rich new woodland and enhance the landscape of your community.

Take a look at some of our suggestions below and don't forget to download our free Fundraising Toolkit for loads of fun stuff you can do with your work colleagues and customers.

Car wash
Organise a carwash in your company's car park. Get a team of you together and ask for a donation per car.

Jewellery trade in
How about a jewellery lunch? Simply invite your colleagues and ask them to bring their unwanted jewellery. You can give absolutely any unwanted jewellery, from odd earrings to broken chains, costume jewellery, broken watches, children's jewellery, plastic beads and more. We'll provide you with the envelopes to pop the unwanted items in; they will then be recycled and turned into cash for our charity, with 75% of the value coming to us. To request your envelopes call 0845 293 5866.

Quiz time
Download our free Jubilee quiz and ask for a donation to enter at your office – simple!

Book sale
Everyone's got old books, so why not organise a book sale? Get everyone to bring in their old books and suggest a minimum donation.

Sponsored shave!
Men only - why not get sponsored to have those legs waxed or go for a really short hair cut?

What can I do in a day

You can achieve so much in just one day

Whether you get sponsored by friends and family or charge an admission fee for your fundraising day, the money you raise will help create wildlife-rich new woodland and enhance the landscape of your community.

Take a look at some of our suggestions below and don't forget to download our free Fundraising Toolkit for loads of fun stuff you can do with your work colleagues and customers.

A walk in the woods
Organise an afternoon of team building in your nearest wood. Ask colleagues to prepare picnics then ask for a donation for the privilege of tasting each others' dishes.

Organise a royal tea party
Why not put on a royal tea party to celebrate the Queen's Jubilee? Charge for tea and cakes, have a quiz or organise a raffle.

Bring the Olympics to the office
Get your colleagues together for a great day of competition. Jump on the Wii or Playstation and compete with other teams to see who can be the next Fatima Whitbread!

Fancy dress day
Fancy dress days are even more exciting in an office environment. For a small fundraising donation, workers can allowed to come to work in a costume. Don't forget to award prizes at lunchtime for the top outfits, giving away small, inexpensive prizes like bottles of wine or boxes of sweets for the funniest, most creative and scariest costumes

Put on a royal picnic
Everyone donates a dish and then pays for the privilege of tasting others.

What can I do in a week

You can achieve so much in just one week

Whether get sponsored by your colleagues or bosses or charge an admission fee for your fundraising day, the money you raise will help create wildlife-rich new woodland and enhance the landscape of your community.

Take a look at some of our suggestions below and don't forget to download our free Fundraising Toolkit for loads of fun stuff you can do with your work colleagues and customers.

Sports challenge
Get sponsored to run that marathon you've always said you'd do, or organise a sponsored bike ride for you and your colleagues.

Give it up
Get sponsored to give something up for whole week – no coffee, chocolate or cigarettes (you may want to also start a swear box for that one!). You could also introduce fines for those sneaky skinny cappuccinos sipped on the sly...

'Bag a lunch' week
Start a campaign at work encouraging your co-workers to bring in their own lunch at least one day a week. They can bring lunch on their own, or get a group together and have everyone agree on one item to bring. You can even bring last night's leftovers! The money you save by bringing your lunch instead of buying it can be donated to your fundraising efforts.

Fundraising raffle
Raffles are another popular workplace fundraising idea, and they're also one of the easier fundraising ideas to do – print matching tickets, sell each one for a pound and hold a draw to give away prizes. You or your co-workers can bring in items to serve as prizes, or you can work with a local business to give away a larger prize or gift voucher. You can even ask a local restaurant to provide a free dinner for the winner. It's great exposure for the businesses involved and you'll also raise money for Jubilee Woods!
