The Daily Mail are celebrating Her Majesty The Queen's Diamond Jubilee by planting a readers' wood with the Woodland Trust.

As part of our flagship Diamond Wood located at the heart of the National Forest in Leicestershire, the Daily Mail wood will be a haven for wildlife - created by the people for the people, in this historic Royal year.

The Daily Mail Wood

Readers have collected vouchers printed in the Daily Mail to claim their free woodland tree, and donate to secure more trees for loved ones. Everyone taking part will receive a commemorative certificate and will be able to locate the area their tree is in within the wood using the new interactive Daily Mail map.

My certificate has arrived - what do I do next?

Your tree will be planted in the Daily Mail wood commencing November 2012. You can see the area where your tree will be planted by entering your certificate number into our interactive map

Please note: you won't be able to identify your own tree.

See our flagship wood pages for more information, including:

The Jubilee Woods Project

The Woodland Trust is helping millions of people across the UK to come together to plant 6 million trees.

With Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal as Patron, the Jubilee Woods project aims to create hundreds of Jubilee Woods and 60 special Diamond Woods, transforming our landscape in a generation and providing a lasting and meaningful tribute for many years to come.

Britain's Best Woodland Walks

Walking in woods is one of the few things that most of us can enjoy young or old. A woodland walk stirs the senses and helps create and rediscover those childhood memories of den building and tree climbing.

To celebrate our Jubilee Woods project the Daily Mail, with the Woodland Trust, has produced this glorious Woodland Walks guide. You will find 15 of the best walks in Britain - from country parks on the outskirts of London to woodland on the edge of a Highland loch. Wherever you choose to explore you are guaranteed to find an array of wildlife as well as tranquillity and inspiration.

Bel Mooney
"There's no better way to remember a loved one than planting a tree in their memory – as I know all too well". Bel will be writing in the Mail about how planting a tree can be a lovely way to remember someone close to you.

Don't forget, for £15 you can donate a tree for a loved one that will be planted in the Daily mail wood. Go to www.dailymail.co.uk/promotions for more information.

Monty Don
Monty has written a great article in the Mail about how to plant a tree in your garden, which species suits different plots and soil types. Keep an eye out for Monty in The Mail over the coming weeks.

We also have a great section on choosing and planting a tree in your garden with loads of advice on the best time to plant.

Terence Blacker
Terence will be writing in The Mail of his love for woods and trees. He wrote a beautiful short story in our book Why Willows Weep, an enchanting collection of short stories from the woods written by some of our finest authors.

The books are available on our shop. Not only a great read but a lovely gift. Visit the shop now to order your copy.

Janet Street Porter
"Nothing beats pulling on wellies and romping through the woods". Janet will be writing about the joys of woodland walks.

You can enjoy many of our woods throughout the UK. Just go to www.visitwoods.org.uk to find a wood near you.
