Fundraising resources

We’re a charity, so fundraising is vital to our work. Help us raise funds to plant 6 million trees for the Jubilee!

There are hundreds of ways you can raise money, whether it's organising a quiz, karaoke night, garage sale or gala dinner. We suggest you keep it simple and choose something you think you'll enjoy.

Approach local businesses to see if they would like to get involved by donating prizes or cash – most companies love the PR.

It’s easy to set up a Justgiving.com fundraising site to help people make a donation to your activity.  The website also has loads of great ideas to help inspire you.

If you have any questions call our fundraising support team on

What can I do in an hour?

You can achieve so much in just one hour

Whether you get sponsored by friends and family or charge an admission fee for your fundraising day, the money you raise will help create wildlife-rich new woodland and enhance the landscape of your community.

Take a look at some of our suggestions below and don't forget to download our free Fundraising Toolkit for loads of fun stuff you can do with your community and neighbours.

Car wash
Get the sponge out and ask for a donation from neighbours and friends to wash their cars

Quiz time
Organise a quiz night at work or down the pub and ask for a donation to enter. You could start by downloading our free jubilee quiz – simple!

Book sale
Everyone has old books so why not organise a book sale? Get everyone to bring in their old books then suggest a donation so new readers can enjoy them.

Sponsored shave-off!
Just for men – why not get sponsored to have those legs waxed – or go for a really short hair cut?

What can I do in a day

You can achieve so much in just one day

Whether you get sponsored by friends and family or charge an admission fee for your fundraising day, the money you raise will help create wildlife-rich new woodland and enhance the landscape of your community.

Take a look at some of our suggestions below and don't forget to download our free Fundraising Toolkit for loads of fun stuff you can do with your community and neighbours.

A walk in the woods
Organise a walk in the woods with family and friends and ask for a donation. As well as raising money, it's a great way for everyone to come together and enjoy beautiful woodland.

Invite friends, family and neighbours to a royal tea party
Why not put on a royal tea party to celebrate the Queen's Jubilee? Suggest a donation for tea and cakes, have a quiz or organise a raffle.

Jewellery party
How about a jewellery party? Simply invite your neighbours and ask them to bring their unwanted jewellery. You can give absolutely any unwanted jewellery, from odd earrings to broken chains, costume jewellery, broken watches, children's jewellery, plastic beads and more. We'll provide you with the envelopes to pop the unwanted items in; they will then be recycled and turned into cash for our charity, with 75% of the value coming to us. To request your envelopes call 0845 293 5866.

Bring the Olympics to your village hall
Get everyone round for a great day of competition. Jump on the Wii or Playstation and compete with each other to see who will be the next Fatima Whitbread. You could ask for a donation from each team and offer refreshments for a donation – great fun!

Organise a 'Coronation Street' style party
Get everyone together to play characters, both old and new, from Coronation Street – a great way to celebrate the Jubilee.

Put on a royal picnic
Everyone donates a dish and then donates for the privilege of tasting others.

Film night
Turn your living room into a cinema and ask for a donation for admission and popcorn.
