Help plant a tree in County Durham for the Queen's Jubilee

County Durham is leading the way in our Jubilee Woods project where we are aiming to plant 6 million trees across the UK in celebration of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth's Diamond Jubilee.

As part of this ambitious plan we will be creating 350 acres of native woodland in your county. Working in partnership with Durham County Council and County Durham Environmental Trust and with the help of schools and communities, this means we will be planting over 200,000 trees!

CAN YOU HELP?

The total cost to achieve this ambitious project is £1.2 million. We have almost raised our target but in order to ensure all the trees are planted we need to raise £60,000.

For every £1 you donate the Woodland Trust will receive £20 from our generous funding partners. That means you will be able to transform your community and leave a lasting legacy for future generations.

A great day out!

As well as helping us financially, why not head down to one of our tree planting events where you can plant trees with like-minded people. It’s a great day out and a real way of making a difference.

Tree planting events begin in February 2012 so keep visiting our website to see what’s happening in your community.
