  Forestry in Northern Ireland

Forestry in Northern Ireland is governed by the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development on behalf of the Northern Ireland Executive. The legal framework through which Northern Ireland's forests are regulated is prescribed in the Forestry Act (Northern Ireland) 2010.

Forest Service are the publicly owned agency responsible for managing the public forest estate in Northern Ireland. It is not affected by any programme for change being considered in England.
