While woodland cover in Worcestershire is only slightly lower than the national average (9.8% compared to 10%), action is still needed to improve the amount of woodland near to people's homes from 11.5% to the recommended 15%.
What’s more, as 13 ancient woods have come under threat from development in the last 10 years – three of which have already been lost or damaged – urgent action is needed to protect your existing woodland.
