Woodland cover in Oxfordshire is slightly lower than the national average (9% compared to 10%). But just 5% of the population have access to a wood nearby home.
Worse, 14 precious ancient woods have come under threat from development in the last 10 years – one of which has already been lost or damaged – action is needed.
