Hertfordshire

A testing time for woodland in Hertfordshire.

Despite woodland cover in Hertfordshire currently recorded as slightly above the national average (10.6% compared to 10%), a staggering 29 ancient woods have come under threat from development in the last 10 years.

Action is needed to stop this, and to work towards the recommended woodland cover of 15%.
