Greater London

Greater London’s woodland figures all in the red.

Woodland cover in Greater London is lower than the national average (8.2% compared to 10%).

And with just 9.1% of the population having access to a wood nearby to their home, compared to an average recommendation of 15%, and 12 ancient woods having come under threat in the last 10 years - one of which has already been lost or damaged – action is needed.
