Devon

Devon is among the top five counties in England for woodland cover.

Statistics for the Devon show that the county is among the best in the country for woodland cover at 19.2% compared to the national average of just 10%.

But better protection is needed to safeguard Devon's existing woods and trees. In the last ten years, eight precious ancient woods have come under threat from development.
