Ancient woods under threat in Cumbria.

Despite woodland cover in Cumbria matching the national average of 10%, nine ancient woods have come under threat from development in the last 10 years – four of which were lost or damaged.

Action is needed now to stop this and work towards the recommended woodland cover of 15%.
