Buckinghamshire

Buckinghamshire has one of the highest numbers of threats to ancient woodland.

With 25 ancient woods having come under threat in the last 10 years – four of which were lost or damaged - greater protection for woods and trees in Buckinghamshire is needed.

And despite the amount of woodland cover in the county showing above the national average (11.4% compared to 10%) this still falls short of the recommended woodland cover of 15%.
